I was fine mentally during chemo and surgery and more chemo. Last PET Scan showed some cells. I’m on my 4th day taking 300mg of Zejula. I take nausea medicine before taking 300mg Zejula at night.
So far no problems except being sleepy.
None all a sudden I ‘m scared like I’m running out of time. Has anyone else have these feelings after doing so well and positive.
Delayed reaction from being told I had stage 4 cancer?

Yes totally normal feeling. Mind games. Take something for anxiety/panic attacks. Deep breathing. If your on a pill form then your doctor has great faith that you will do well on it as a maintenance medication Zejula is well known for fatigue nausea and sometimes stomach cramping . They can adjust your medication. Keep strong
The idea even with stage 4 is to manage ovarian as a chronic disease. A course of Zejula may be able to zap those stray cells or keep them from proliferating. Also keep in mind that if the Zejula doesn't work or if the side effects are too difficult, there may be other options. Wishing you all the best for your treatment! Deb in Colorado
Hi, the feelings you are having are common among us warriors. I have been on Zejula 300mg for over 2 years now. Sometimes I get dry mouth or fatigue but nothing serious. Once in awhile I take anxiety pill to help me sleep or just to take edge off. I have stage 3C Ovarian since 2013. This is a chronic disease but there are so many new treatments out there. Be strong and have faith. We are in this together.
Aloha! Zejula at 300mg made me feel edgy. Even at 100mg, sometimes feel kinda nervous for no particular reason. The feeling generally doesn't last very long but it does come and go. Hang in there!
Yes this is common I had stage III ovarian carbiplatin, and Taxol cancer free for a year and 3 And a half.. And the cancer came back I am on Zejula 100... 200 originally but my heart rate couldn’t take it so they dropped it down to 100. On that for one year now my CA 125 is 679 apparently it’s not working anymore two tiny eraser size nodules in my peritoneal cavity what they will do not sure yet ... but to answer your question yes I think we all get that nagging feeling questioning whether this is the time the hammer will drop but it’s common don’t worry about it as soon as you see your oncologist he will give you hope again .. keep on keeping on my friend we will be here for a while ❤️
I take 200 mags nightly. I don’t feel nauseated at all, but have neuropathy in my feet and lower legs that bother me. My Dr. put me on 200 mgs, because of my weight. I weigh 137 lbs and dr. said that 300 mgs. Would be too much for me. This
My genetic testing came back and it was negative, so this drug is a little less effective than if you carry the gene for ovarian cancer. I think if 300 mgs. bother you, talk to the DR. And maybe they can adjust your dose. Hang in there 😊
