I had stage 1A ovarian cancer 2015. Surgery and chemo. Still in remission. No evidence of cancer. I’ve been going in for an exam and CA125 check every 3 and 6 months. But I’ve havent had a CT scan. Is that normal? Should I be getting those. Is that the best way to catch a recurrence? I live in USA.

Monthly/yearly checkups don’t include CT scan?
I have been told that CA125 is not that reliable an indicator and that the CAT scan is the best way to monitor. But I have 3C Ov.
I have been NED for 3 years and also get CA125 every 3 months when I get my port flushed. I get a CTscan about every 6 months. My doctor would prefer a pet scan but my insurance won’t cover it. Some doctors wait until you have symptoms of possible recurrence to order scans. My doc is pretty proactive with scans but it’s always a battle with insurance.
I had Stage 1C2 transitional cell ovarian cancer In 2016 and live in North Carolina. I have a CT annually and they check my CA 125 every 6 months. Believe that’s pretty much in line with the NCIC guidelines. But my dr always ask if I want a CT or not as some choose not to to lessen exposure to radiation.
Sorry I meant NCCN cancer treatment guidelines. You can find these online.
