Torapuck, call whoever you need to and get a CAT scan! With gynecological cancer in your family history you are at risk. You are not too young to have ovarian cancer or any other cancer. Also, a trans vaginal ultrasound cannot be relied upon to detect ovarian cancer. I had one and it didn't detect the cancer. Please continue to advocate for yourself. It is not right for you to be suffering and in pain and have to wait for a scan which could save your life. I live in US, so I don't know the proper protocol for your healthcare system. I would start by contacting one of the OVACOME administrators who can probably recommend steps for getting help in a timely manner. FYI, I was fobbed off by US doctors before I finally ended up in ER where they gave me a CAT scan and found I had stage 3C metastatic ovarian cancer. So, I hope you get to the root cause of your problems before they become as dire as mine.
Hi Torapuck , I'm sorry that you're going through this. I echo the sentiment on getting a second opinion. If your current physician doesn't make you feel at ease it's best to find someone who will. Please also feel free to call the SHARE Helpline (844-275-7427) to speak to one of our peer specialists who can also help guide you in the right direction. As always, we're here for you as well. Sending you lots of love and please update when you can.
