Alimta - Fevers

My mum has been fighting this disease since 2016. At diagnosis she was high grade OC stage 3c. After initial surgery and chemo she was in remission for 5 years but unfortunately the beast returned in 2021 and since then she has been under constant treatment.

Her last scan a few months back showed progression with mets on the liver growing in size. She is currently on Alimta (pemetrexid) and has pain in her shoulders and upper back that comes and goes. Chest X rays show all clear. Also since starting this chemo she has on and off fever and lots of weakness. Her blood results at times normal and sometimes she has elevated white blood cells for which she is prescribed antibiotics. Her doctors believe the fevers are a side effect of the chemotherapy.

Has anyone experienced this? It’s heartbreaking to see her in this situation.
