lets stay positive

Hello!

I have been dealing with MBC since 2021. Despite the side effects of Ibrance, am managing to lead a near normal life. I travel as much as possible though the pain does make it restrictive.

I wish everyone in this group the strength to deal with this!

I'm so happy for you. I was able to see all three of my grandchildren's births and the baby is now 5... thanks to 8 years of that sweet Ibrance ride! To God be the Glory!

Great to hear. I too got my MBC diagnosis in 2021, my 10th year clear from first. I do believe that were it not for the drug combo, Ibrance and Letrozole for me, I would not be in my current “stable” condition. I have had a couple of changes over these years, but nothing major. Sadly, I know that is not everyone’s story, but it does happen. I’m a bit fearful now that I have to move to an Ibrance generic, for so many reasons, but, fingers crossed….Stay strong.

I have also been on Ibrance and Letrozole since 2017 and recieved my PET scan results from last week yesterday, scan was NED!! I have had a couple of issues, dealing with a “angry” lung right now , but otherwise doing great!! God bless everyone!

I was very fearful of that too but I did not notice any difference with the switch

We travel too. We have been “glamping” at our favorite renn Faire. It’s a struggle though.

Mind your neutrophils . And know your limits.

Normal life not exactly but coping

Yes that's my style too. Luckily no pain but a pain in the wallet paying for travel insurance. I am in my seventies and as far as I can see as fit if not fitter than others. And my partner,( whom I met just post diagnosis), and I are getting married in May. So life has been full of new and wonderful things, much better than I expected. Live for the day, good luck. 🤗

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. That's wonderful that you have done so well despite the diagnosis that none of us want to get. I believe you were diagnosed similar to me in 2018. Very inspiring. Take care.👍

Hello Beryl see you are from uk like myself. I get annual 50 plus insurance from civil service insurance who dont ask questions but you must join civil service social club depending on your previous employer or be referred. ( I can help you with that if you need it) . Their only stipulation is you must be fit to travel. Hope this may be of interest. Ps congratulations!

I find it best to always have things to look forward to. Six years on for me, stage 4 from the outset. Managing it well and i don't think about it day to day :)
