A benefit? AI and SERDS reduce dementia

A new study found that women on aromatase inhibitors or selective estrogen receptor downgraders for ER+ breast cancer have a reduced risk of Alzheimers and other dementias.

Can't conclude that needing these meds is a good thing, but at least it has one upside.

The reduction in risk was greatest for Black women (another rare positive of treatment) and younger women.

I don’t think the AI is helping preserve my brain unfortunately but then again maybe it’s not as bad as it could be?

Seems it slightly reduces risk of dementia, but our brains are shrinking!

I just realized we might have to stop calling aromatase inhibitors "AI" because, to the rest of the world, it means artificial intelligence.
