Truqap

I just started Truqap. This first week I have some side effects: nausea, diarrhea, fatigue, dizziness and low blood pressure, mouth sensitivity among other side effects left over from Xeloda such as hand- foot syndrome. I am hoping taking Truqap will get easier as my body adjusts and that it will work for me. I tried Orserdu, elacestrant, for 2 months with few side effects and no positive results, progression continued. Hope it works for you and your body tolerates it.

Dear KBLee -- Your posting precedes my intro to Truqap which will be prefaced by Faslodex start up doses. ( I have had Faslodex in the past). This latest action plan changed a few days ago when I was told that I would get six weeks of no cancer drugs so that my body could recoup from all that has happened, recently. The latest Pet scan has changed all those plans in favor of drugs. I am interested in your progress and wold like to share on the private postings so as not to bore everyone with our complaints and whimpers.

Dear KBLee, my wife just started on Truquap 200 mg x 4 per day ( 2 200mg in the am and 2 200mg 12 hours later ) with Faslodex, this was also her first week, after 7 months on Ibrance / Faslodex. She has had the same side effects as you but without the dizziness so far. She has also lost some of her appetite with Truqap as well as her sense of taste is a bit off. Now she gets three days off for her body to recover. Her latest Pet scan had shown the ibrance had stopped working, so this was the next line of treatment. She also has had low dose external radiation at hot points shown on the Pet scan and that also seems to work quite well as to knocking down some tumors. Truqap is very expensive, ( $23,000 a month ) and so far our insurance is paying for it, but I wanted to mention AstraZeneca has a patient program called AZ & ME that pays 100% of the cost of the Drug if you qualify, and many like ourselves do. I posting this for future readers who may seek help with this drug and it's costs. Praying for everyone to have God's healing power and blessings.
