ibrance/letrozole - when did tumor shrink?

For those of you taking ibrance and letrozole, when did you notice a reduction in your breast lump? When you first started on the meds, how long did it take before you noticed things were changing and tumor started shrinking?

Hello,

I've been taking cancer meds since 2019 when my metastatic breast cancer was diagnosed. I originally had a breast lump removed in 2006; my breasts have remained free of lumps since then (I'm now 78 so that may be why).

However, I now have many lumps in various parts of my body, mostly under the skin. Although my cancer markers have been dramatically reduced (usually to the normal range) with both 40 mg of tamoxifen, and 600 mg of ribociclib, I am not aware of any shrinkage in my various lumps so this may not always happen even when treatment seems to be effective.

I first started the same regimen in January. My PET scan in May showed reduction in size by alittle more than half. They have stayed that size for the last 2 years with very little to no activity.

I have had 7 cycles with stability but no reduction other than in the lymphnodes.That happened in the first two months. I have lots of tumors and bone Mets. They are stable but haven't shrunk. I am very worried that this means that the medication may stop working sooner.

Hi. I've only just read your post. I started on Letrozole and Ibrance September 2022, after being diagnosed with extensive lung, liver, bone mets, and a large tumour in left breast. Scan in December 2022 showed slight reduction in breast tumour. Further scans in March and July 2023 showed further reduction in breast tumour, with lung, bone and liver mets being stable. Hoping Letrozole and Ibrance work well for you. Hugs and best wishes.

Hello, after 3 months of taking it the tumors reduced in size and then gradually over the course of 1 and half years until I went on full remission. So to give you a time line, i started taking it June of 2019 and my scans came back clear October of 2020. Hope this helps!
