Ibrance and Letrozole.

Today I’m shutting out the aches and pains from my Mets and have the scent of my lovely sweetpeas and a little Cosmos around me.

Good for you, such a lovely flowers

My absolute favourite - I can smell them from your photo.

Have you tried Frankinsence oil (mixed with a carrier oil) to rub on for the mets? A lot of us on here use it.

A friend told me to use it but my oncologist said no. Do you find it helps?

Clare (BellaE) this one is for you to answer as I’ve only just ordered it.

I know a good few ladies on here use it. Some have even said their rumours have shrunk whilst using it. Maybe search on the site and you can read some of the posts about it. Maybe it can affect the medication you are on and that’s why your Onc said not to. I take Ibrance and Letrozole.

I Rub it on my back before I go to bed. I think it does help with my pain then. I have recently been putting it on my scalp because I have a lump there. I can’t see what it is because my hair is in the way. Anyway, two weeks in and it has gone right down in size.

Hope this helps.

Hi Clare

So happy it works for you. I was so going to use it on my spine where all my tumours are but my pharmacist said it would interfere with the meds I am on. If my meds don’t work anymore I am going to try it.

Theresa

in reply toTotheriver

I’m sorry to hear that Theresa.

What meds are you on out of interest?

Maybe you could post a question asking what other people use - I’m sure you would get a lot of replies.

Hi Clare

I am on letrozole and ibrance for my Mets. I am also on 4 meds for congestive heart failure which was caused by my chemo 17 years ago. I am going to ask my cardiologist about it when I go for my 18 month check-up on Tuesday.

That’s great. I’ve noticed a lump come up on my ankle joint. I will try it there as well as my lower back, ribs and spine. Thanks Clare.

Hi Theresa,

I have been adding frankincense essential oil to my breast for a long time now. I sometimes add a little to my back as well and a few drops in my bath every day. Did your oncologist tell you the reason why they didn't recommend it? Perhaps it could interact with your treatment. If so, it's a good idea to find out for sure before you start using it.

That’s good to know Sophie. Can’t wait for it to be delivered now.

Hi Cheryl,

I hope that you see the benefits from using frankincense oil too. I'm not particularly keen on the smell, but I feel that's a small price to pay, and it's not as if you have to ingest it. It's better than some of the other things I take which taste awful! 😂

Sophie ❤

Tried it today Sophie. It has worked on my lower back where most of my Metastasis are. I also have pain in my right arm and it’s eased that also. So far so good. One happy lady. 🙏🏼🥰

in reply to

Hi Cheryl,

I’m glad the frankincense is helping you.

Sophie ❤️

I slept all night Sophie, virtually pain free. I’m impressed. I’m going to send some to my 93year old Mum to rub on her bad hip. Can only try.

So glad of this forum. It’s helped in so many ways.

Have a good weekend.

Hi Cheryl,

That’s wonderful! I’m so pleased to hear that the frankincense has made such a difference.

Clare I’ve received my carrier oil and Frankincense but I’m not sure of how much of each I need to use to make it up. It doesn’t say on either bottle.

Can you help please.

Many thanks

Cheryl

in reply to

Hi Cheryl

I put a 5 pence piece size of carrier oil in my palm and add 3-4 drops of Francincense. Rub my hands together then rub it wherever I think I need it, then have a good sniff of my hands.

My Mum has arthritis of her knee and she has started using it - 3 days pain free so far!!

Enjoy. Clare x

Used it Clare. It has actually worked on my lower back and on my right arm. Thanks so much for the advice. Very pleased.

are they from a garden??

in reply toTwithBC

From our allotment. They have done well this year with all the rain we have had. There has been an abundance of them and the more you cut the more they grow.

Just beautiful! Am I the only one who thought "cosmos" referred to the drink? Expected to see a martini glass in the pic, then googled only to learn that it's a type of flower! :)

They are from the allotment (plot of land we have). We live in an apartment so strictly speaking the allotment is our garden. X

That’s so sweet thank you. I love my flowers and plants. I’ve taken 4 cuttings from my Poinsettia and cannot believe they have all taken. I will give them to our allotment association to sell on. We haven’t the room for them at home. Keep smiling lovely x
