Ibrance/ letrozole schedule change

My onc recently switched up my Ibrance/Letrozole regimen to two weeks on two weeks off. I was 3 weeks on 1 week off; but for the last 2 months had to take an additional week off so my ANC could recover. I have been on Ibrance/ letrozole since July 2015. Started out on highest dose but have settled on the 75mg. Anyone else on this 2 week on/off schedule and for how long?

I don't remember where I saw this (on this site or on Facebook), but I read of someone else being successfully on the 2 week schedule. Also the 75mg. I hope to hear more about it as well and please let us know how your numbers look on this schedule. Praying it will be extremely successful for you🙏

I have also read about 1 week on and 1 week off schedule. How long could you handle 125? How long 100? I had to go down from 125 to 100 after 7 cycles and then take 2 weeks off to recover ANC. I started April 2019.

I wasn’t on the 125 long maybe six months. Then the 100 for about a year or more. The remaining has been the 75.

I’ve been very blessed to have gotten this long on Ibrance!

I have recently switched to one week on one week off as I had to wait three weeks each cycle for my levels to raise. I am feeling much better, not getting as fatigued as I was with the old schedule. At least now I feel great one week then yucky the next. I can plan things for my off week. My levels have stayed high.

so you take 2 weeks off from the letrozole as well? just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly! Thanks! GBY!

I would assume she would keep taking the letrozole as I take mine everyday with no breaks.

No only Ibrance. Letrozole is daily. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm on 3 weeks on, 2 weeks off my Ibrance. Seems I need the time for my platelets to recover. On 100mg.

I guess we are all different.

Thank God the oncs can be flexible with our schedules!

Hi I know you wrote this a few months back but it has really given me hope. I started Ibrance and letrozole in July 2018 and went straight down to 75 as after a week of 125 , three weeks of 100 and then 3 weeks off, down again to 75 as neutrophils were dropping too low. I see you have been on this combi since July 2015 albeit on a slightly higher dose initially for a lot longer. I have been on 75 Ibrance with letrozole since October 2018 as it took a little while for them to work out the correct dosage. So about 18 cycles . Getting slightly more tired in the third week and definitely suffer from tummy ache and acidity nearly all the time but nothing compared to what the meds are doing for me .i sincerely hope you stay well for a long time on this combination . God bless
