First Round Trodevly Success!

I had my second dose of Trodelvy round one yesterday and I want to report that my blood test results were already very promising. All of my scary liver levels (AST,ALT) were cut in half and I stopped taking Aleve for liver pain. I no longer feel like I'm carrying a giant swollen liver "baby" around.

The staff was excited about the progress. They know that this drug works quickly and all of the monitoring and extra hydration are done because of the fast exit of cancer cells from your body on this med. The staff's main concern was that my body would react poorly to that toxic dump as it were.

I drank at least four big tumblers of water a day during the week and I had to take a uric acid prescription too to keep everything flushing.

I had a week long pity party waiting for all of the horrible side effects and I did not have anything worse that any other med we are/have been subjected to. Perhaps the pre-meds they gave me helped too. It was a lengthy list - trying to attach screen shot. They did a little emend before treatment and a little after. I did not have diaharrea at all, I was constipated for 2 days but took a tiny bit of Calm and cleared that. I was nauseous pretty much every day but managed with small frequent meals, peppermint gum, and ginger chews. I did throw up Sunday evening but I had an empty stomach and allowed too much acid to build up. I lost a few pounds this week and got a lecture on that and the need for more fiber but otherwise a positive visit.

Ive got my Neulasta on-pro and a prophylactic prescription for a light anti-biotic to get me through low blood levels this week. The on-pro has a giant blinking green light which makes me a great night light beacon :)

Hope posting a positive journey on this drug. Allison

Thank you so much!

So after second dose and Neulasta, I gotta say week 2 days 4-7 were pretty awful as in unpredictable - I HATE UNPREDICTABLE! This is my off week so I hope to have a better report after a "break".
