I’m just wondering if any of you, with bone Mets to various parts, (mine are skull, spine, ribs & right sacroiliac ) get itchy? Deep inside, like scratching almost does, but doesn’t really , relieve the itch?
I sometimes go crazy itching away and th hard to get to spots, I had to buy a back scratcher.

Yes! I only had a small spot on my sternum and after receiving radiation it started itching a week or so after. I attributed it to healing and getting better! It lasted a while but now there is no sign of cancer there and no more itching so think of it as your body getting rid of that nasty cancer and is healing!
I don’t have itching on my bone Mets but I’m wondering if this is primarily near your spine? I once went to a dermatologist about a chest skin infection, a very localized spot in the center. I mentioned that I’d also had this spot, almost exactly opposite the chest rash, itching me on my back too. The skin on my back was fine, no rash, but she mentioned that sometimes pressure on the smaller nerves exiting the sides of the spine can cause itching , so there is a possibility it could be something to do with that
yes I was itchy primarily on my back and would go crazy w my back scratcher. I attributed it to the drugs I was on, Ibrance and exemestane w monthly exgeva shot. I also developed sores across the top of my back and on my scalp. The dermatologist prescribed a steroid cream and medicated shampoo for these which helped them slowly heal and sera ve cream (brand name) for the itchy back which really helped.
Yes--you're the first person who's mentioned it (that I've seen so far). When the cancer spread to my spine and right scapula, it itched like crazy--!? I tried lots of things, but finally found a CVS Cooling Itch Relief Spray that works wonderfully. The little can also sprays at any angle, so I can use it on my own back. I hope you can find it locally. The active ingredient is hydrocortisone 1.0%, but somehow that spray works way better than the hydrocortisone creams with higher dosages.
