Yes, I don’t mention I have cancer as some people think you’re a dead woman walking! Great to hear you are still enjoying life but it must be difficult sometimes at work! 🌸
God bless you, Minou! If you lived near me, I’d take you out to a movie and we’d share an XL bag of popcorn and 2 large cokes!! Keep walking that walk and talking that talk! XXOO 💗💗
I do tell people. I told my partner when we first met and nearly three year later we're still together. He says I'm fitter than him. In process of moving to Scotland from the south, currently living in the Outer Hebrides. I embrace all new opportunities and want everyone to know that life doesn't stop with a big C diagnosis. I lived 26 very full years between my primary tumour and MBC so I know anything is possible. I've now had three years on treatment and other than all the COVID fears it's not stopped me living! I'd love another twenty plus years but in reality another ten good ones would suffice. Keep living, and loving, even if it's your cat or dog! Xx
I do tell people I have cancer. It has not turned anyone away from me. On the contrary, I get lots of help and support. I don't look ill so everyone thinks I am healing and that helps me stay positive. I tell myself every day that I am healing. It is good that you keep going and working. I still enjoy life too although at age 80 I have slowed down a wee bit. But I love to cook and read and visit with my children and friends. My husband is having health issues so I try to stay cheerful and positive for him as well as myself. I think your positive attitude is helping you live a long, long time. Hugs Marlene
