l am on Ibrance and Letrozole, I too get a lump on the roof of my mouth, that comes and goes , I was worried , my dentist checked my mouth and said there is no problem, I am not worried now, I have got used to it, I get sore gums too , I hope you don’t worry too much
I'm on the same meds too and get sore gums every now and then. Try adding some baking soda into your salt water rinse and see if that helps (1/4 tsp salt + 1/4 tsp baking soda to 1 cup water). Otherwise Bonjela gel (which they use for mouth/gum sores from dentures and bracers) seems to help me too. Good luck and Happy Birthday! 💕
Happy Birthday! Yes, I periodically get a sore on my gums and rinsing with salt water always takes care of it in a day or so. I'm on Ibrance and Letrozole and I think it is a side effect. Drinking a lot of water (when I remember to do it) seems to keep them at bay. --Trish
I'm no longer on Letrozole, thank God, that stuff made every joint in body hurt! But I find as the yrs march on, my mouth is easily irritated, episodes of sore places in upper hard palate which I went once to the Dentist for and was told I apparently bit down on a nacho chip too hard! Truth!, I get little tiny sore places on my tongue from time to time, even little white spots that hurt a few days then disappear, I think its mouth Ca everytime. I'm 64 and I think there is a general thinning of the mucosa in my mouth and I take probiotics but this keeps on happening. My sister is a dental Hygenist and anytime I mention a whole group of teeth uncomfortable she suspects I've been clinching or grinding my teeth especially in an anxiety producing situation such as scans. But Happy Birthday and may you eat cake!!!
TammyCross, Letrozole failed after 9 months and I went straight to IV chemo, Taxol. Got all of 7 tx in with it and had horrific manic/suicidal onset caused by those premed steroids. I have been diagnosed with Bipolar for many yrs(even before early stage BC) but stay stable except when I get on a drug that interferes severely with sleep. I was off every treatment for a month then my Onc wanted to rescan and wow that Taxol had made great headway in reducing tumors that had been on bone and in organs, so I got to choose Faslodex vs Aromasin and I chose Faslodex and it has pretty much been my ticket to NED.
