My onc and I made decision for me to try Ibrance 75. I can’t remember how to take dosage other than 21 on and 7 off. Can anyone help?

Hello! Your oncologist will be providing you with the dosing schedule. God bless you!

it is usually 21 on and 7 off. Some people have been taking 5 on and 2 off due to an intolerance to the 21 on without a stop. If you don’t have any issues with Ibranc then stick to what is written on the label 🌸

It has been a while since I was on Ibrance. I recall reading in scientific literature that it should be taken with protein and fat rich food for best metabolism, but the doctor never mentioned it. I took it in the evening.

I have a Boost drink every other day for protine ..strawberry flavor..

Helps the white blood cells

I talked my onc into letting me take Ibrance on a 5/2 schedule. Five days on, 2 days off. I started at 150, reduced to 100 and then to 75. I've read that the 5/2 schedule is getting more common. It's easier on the system and helps neutrophil levels to be better then when on the 21/7 schedule. I was on 5/2 for almost 3 years before the Ibrance stopped working.

I am going to start out on 21 on and 7 off then if that is too much go on 5 on and 2 off

I’m on a 21 day on 14 days off schedule. Whatever you and your onc deem necessary.

Hi G…if you don’t mind me asking, how many treatments did you have before going back onto Ibrance? Did you have to have IV chemo inbetween and where are you in the world?

My next treatment is indefinite Taxol, which I’m trying to avoid!

No chemo just Astrazole and Ibrance

I'm also interested that you went back on Ibrance. Onc put me on Piqray which brought on an awful side effect (I think - long story). I couldn't go on Kisquali so she started me on Verzenio which I'm tolerating fine so far - only 3 weeks. I've read that taking a "break" from Ibrance then going back on it can restart the positive response to the drug, but she won't put me back on it. So you were off for how long? and went back on?

I was off around month and half

Did you get on your new meds?

I always took my 75 mg tab in the morning with breakfast. Yes, 21 days and then seven days off. Some women take it at night because they feel it makes you sleepy. This wasn't a problem with me. My only side effects on this dosage were occasional breathlessness and dry, haystack hair.

I say hydrate... and take it with something to eat. And I am with others who have blood work done before restarting the next cycle. I've been on it for five years...

any one know what the difference is in your body for 125, 100 and 75. I was on 125 for over a year and now lowered to 100. And I really hate those packages they come in, what a hassle, a jar would be better!

yes, the packaging! I gave up on opening them up and gave the job to my husband so he can swear and mutter! 😄

my husband says he’s afraid to break the pill! But he does do laundry and empties the dishwasher! 😊

can we go back on meds once we have progression while on them? I would love to go back to Ibrance. It worked 5 years for me. It was first line for me. Now on Taxil. 😞

that’s the way you take it. 3 weeks on and one off the another cycle. I took it for over 3 years and didn’t have much problem. I took 125 mg though.I hope you do well 🙏✝️🌹

I take ibrance 75 ..two weeks on then two weeks off. I have tried many combinations and this is the one I tolerate the best.

21 days on, 7 days off. I always start a new pack on Sunday and I take it at bedtime. I used to take it after breakfast but I found myself getting motion sickness and nauseated. Taking it at bedtime has allowed me to be at home (I still teach fulltime - High School) and remain horizontal if I feel sick. I've had great success with Ibrance as I have been on it since 2018. I have labwork on the Friday "off" and the before starting the new pack on Sunday.

Blessings for good results.

My wife took hers before bed time. Seemed to work well for her. She could only 75mg due to low WBC numbers
