Dear Santa 🎅🏼! What I Want For Christmas smile😍

Well thank goodness I have my two front teeth 😬!

As a kid Christmas 🎄time was magical! I would spend countless hours making my perfectly planned list with the Sears and JC Penney toy catalogs by my side! Sure I told Santa that I was good 😜while asking for a bike, roller skates 🛼and Barbie dolls and everything else that could fit under the tree.

And now as an MBC Chic I still believe in the magical spirit of the season. I tell Santa that I have been good (most of the time) 😉. My list is long because it includes prayers for all of us strong women and men who are in this fight. I want….

- continued medical advancements in the cure for cancer

- a beachside cottage 🏖️where I can relax while watching the ocean (oops I digressed)

- continued love and support from you guys! This platform has allowed me to learn and be more involved in my treatment and care and not be afraid of this mighty battle.

- a kind and understanding handsome gentleman friend (oops distress again)

Well you guys get me- right?

I would like to copy that list. I believe in asking boldly for what you want. I will never be " good"enough to deserve all on my list, but I wasn't "bad" enough to deserve all that has happened to me. I don't think it works that way. I would add to your list the vision to see how I can bring joy and peace to others and the strength to act on it. Oh, yeah, and that guy would be nice. I lost my husband of 42 years at the beginning of this journey. to T-cell lymphoma. I miss having him by my side, cheering me on, celebrating the victories, and holding me through the dark times.

I love your spirit! You are right. We must not be afraid to ask for what we want. I think part of our treatment and healing is to consider others while helping ourselves. I will ask Santa for a special guy for you too! I have gotten quite a few requests for that! Lol! Take care!

Thank you for this wonderful post! I just love the way you think. I also have medical advances on my list this year - two people dear to me have begun their treatments for different stage 4 cancers. And I know it's only because of the recent breakthroughs that they're overcoming the worst of it and able to dream again of the future. And with all my heart I wish for new treatments with fewer side effects for all my MBC sisters.

The memory of lists from Sears and JC Penney Wishbooks brought back such beautiful thoughts of Christmases past. I had so many things circled in those books there were holes torn in the pages. 😀 And that beachside cottage is on my list, too! And it doesn't have to be oceanside, could be on a lake - I'm not fussy. Finally, I hope Santa brings you a guy worthy of you, one who will support you and love you. I've been blessed with my man for 36 years and he's my rock.

Your list is superb! ✅ AHHHHH, the Sears Christmas Wish Book was the BEST! I think how my children (30, 27 and 20) will never know of anything like it.😕 I hope you get all your wishes to come true. We have lots in common, especially the wish for a cure and new treatments. I pray for all of us here everyday that we suffer and worry less. I hope you find that man that you surely deserve and would be lucky to have you. 💚 I have been blessed to call my best friend my husband for 33 years and counting! Christmas dreams can come true - we just need to have faith and keep believing!!! 🌟🌟🌟 Blessings my friend!

I've been offline for the last several days what with Christmas preparations and dr appointments. I appreciate your attitude and must say that I appreciate my attitude as well. It mirrors yours. I too pray for our MBC family. I wrote your MBC name on one of our prayer notes which goes on to a large, active prayer group. I believe it all helps. I too have a handsome friend who drove me to the heart surgery division of Columbia Presbyterian Medical center., yesterday.

My aortic valve is diseased. It is closed about 50%. There is time but I am never a patiant person. I told my theatre students repeatedly that my life was too short to wait for them (or anybody except my dear departed wonderful husband. I think he is waiting for me.). That was me digressing. This is what happens when you live alone. Given the chance, we will talk your ear off. I will be going back into the hospital for a battery of tests and for a consultation with a "team". The doc says there is time but if I absolutely need it, why wait? I think that I want to have a surgery while I am still feeling sort of all right, not to wait until I am really down for the count.
