ALT/SGPT

Any idea why this test went for 34 to 103 ? I had blood work done yesterday and my doctor didn’t say anything about this. This test is usually in the low to mid 30s for the last year.

Thanks you you all and keep a good attitude, they say that’s half of the battle! Hugs!!

As you may know, ALT/SGPT is one of the liver enzymes. Its elevation is usually a cause for concern about the functioning of your liver. I'm surprised that your doctor didn't mention it to you. It may be worth while to ask him or her directly what it means in your case.

Best wishes, Cindy

I agree with Cindy, in that you should inquire with your oncologist, especially if it’s going to be a while before you have bloodwork again.

I started on kisqali this past January and then during the 2nd cycle mine jumped to the 90’s and then a month later they were 285 and I was taken off kisqali. The ALT peaked a week later at 522 and it took 5 months for that number to come back down, during which time, I wasn’t able to start another CDK4/6 inhibitor drug.

I know different medications affect us all differently, but I know of others on this Board that experienced the same with kisqali. It’s worth inquiring about.

Best of luck.

K
