Just search "cold cap"; there are a lot of results. More info on how/if they work, where to buy, etc.

Is this not offered at the chemo facility?

It was not advisable for me most recently because of the mets on my neck so instead I shaved off all my hair. Wearing little caps, hats and scarves was actually really cool.

My hair was growing back brilliantly and I had a funky pixie cut... sadly the recent whole brain radiotherapy is causing all of it to fall out again 😭😭😭.

Be aware the cold cap does not always work (in 2016 I lost about 40% of my hair) and it really hurts for the initial bit until your head is totally numb. If you have a painkiller beforehand this helps and I was actually glad I did it in 2016.

All the best to you

X

As Ursula says, this would be provided where you have your chemo. It's not just a cap but a machine you are connected to as per photo below
