Blood clots on Ibrance+Fulvestrant

Ive been on above regimen for about 2 years and recently developed clots in my leg and lungs. Looking for anyone with insights on their experiences w ibrance and clots.

I developed dvts on that combo, but could also have been Janssen covid vaccine and/or being wheelchair bound. Blood clots are a rare but known side effect of faslodex if you read the manufacturer specs.

Thanks for your response—It seems Ibrance and faslodex both have this as a potential side effect.

Hi! I found out back in February that I have blood clots in both lungs. I ended up in hospital for 19 days due to kidneys shutting down because of even more news that I have congestive heart failure. That was a shocker as well as finding the clots. Seeing a heart specialist that told me my chemo from my original cancer diagnosis caused the damage (had the red devil combo apparently) and it’s progressively gotten worse. Had no major symptoms and even walked in a 5k back in Oct. I’m now shouting from the rooftops ladies that watch your heart especially on these meds. Our signs are more subtle than in men so PLEASE protect yourself! I’m unbelievably thankful this was found and they have me on more meds but they’re slowly working. They’re using Eliquis for the blood clots and we’re going to update X-rays soon, so can let you know if it’s working. I’ve been on Ibrance/Faslodex since Nov 2018 and it’s kept my MBC stable but apparently added in some new adventures. One day at a time and very thankful ❤️Alicia

Sorry to hear about clots. Please let me know how you’re doing. My leg clots don’t seem to be improving and they impair my mobility. It’s been a month on Eliquis
