Blood clots and Exemestane

Update ladies. So relieved. Ultrasound on arm was done this morning and there is no clots showing. What a relief 😊. Doctor from the hospital has just called with the news. So, next step. Oncologist Friday. I need to know why I was put on this combination of drugs when I have asthma, slightly raised blood pressure and now slightly raised cholesterol. The later being controlled up until now. The Doctor I spoke to just now said the Chemo can make arms and legs swell. Be like Popeye or the Elephant Man before long. So questions I shall have to write them down.

Good news Sandra and Clare, no more injections. What a relief. The ice tray can be emptied.

Please take care everyone. For the ladies in the UK try and avoid this sickness bug that’s going around. All this social gatherings are now showing maybe it isn’t such a good thing. I’m still hand sanitising, wiping down shopping, spraying everything in sight and putting my clothes straight in the washer when I come back from hospital. Maybe that’s being to clinical!!!!!!

Best wishes

Cheryl

What a relief there are no clots. Your tummy will be pleased!!The swelling in this heat can’t be nice either.

Good luck on Friday - at least you can have a good chat with the Oncologist and get all your questions out.

Wales is talking about another lockdown apparently!!

I wasn’t aware of a bug, it probably hadn’t reached us yet. However I know the critical care units have been preparing for a very busy winter this year with flu and respiratory problems because people had not been mixing last until now.

Take care and thanks for the warning. I think you are right to continue with your precautions.

It was in our local news Clare. Tummy bugs are around every year but somehow the news has reached the media. There was another huge music festival along the docks from Thursday till Sunday. There was also a big march on to Save the World (I agree with that but not a March). The Council provide portaloos everywhere so no wonder bugs are spreading.🤬🤮. Speak to you Friday.

I agree, campaign but socially distance when you are doing it, and stay at home if you have an iffy tummyClare

So glad to hear it’s not blood clots.

Thinking of you and wishing you well, Stacy

Thanks for the info Sandra. The Oncologist did explain there is alternatives. I always feel it’s about the cash flow. We shall see. I certainly will let you know as it’s important to others to find out about these issues.

I’ve had around two hours sleep. I have such irritation under my skin. I’m sitting with my feet in a bowl,of cold water. It’s only 6.00 here. Crazy. My GP is sending me to see a Dermotologist as the steroid creams have all failed and the rash around my ankles is getting worse. I’ve had the leaflet out again for Everolimus and that can cause a rash or hives. I certainly have that across my chest bone and neck now. I think this is a totally different issue to the ankles that were diagnosed a couple of weeks ago. In all my life I have never had so many issues. I sometimes think the drugs cause more problems than our actual illness.

Enjoy your ride in the sunshine. It certainly makes us feel better (unless it’s scorching). We will be going to our allotment later. I will need match sticks to keep my eyes, open 🤔. We have got so much fresh veg to pick. We also have a Chilean Guava bush. It produces very small red berries that taste just like strawberries. They are delightful and ready for picking now.

Will update you Friday.

Take care

Cheryl

Wonderful news. What a relief. Now if you can get on top of those other problems that would be great. Not sleeping really causes a strain on the nerves. I think you are wise to take all the precautions against bringing disease home. Keep up the good work. Maybe it isn't all necessary but you sure don't need another illness.

Cheers, June S.

Great news, no clots, 😀 Sister/warrior continue to take precautions to keep yourself safe . I/We would rather be overly cautious, than to be the one who has a break through Covid 19, 20, & now 2021 viral infection, and be on a respirator struggling to breath. I am grateful to GOD , for the vaccinations, and all other modalities that will decrease our catching the Covid virus. I am also grateful for all things/modalities in the fight to eradicate breast cancer.😇🙏

Woohoo- no clots and no more tummy shots! Sorry to hear that you still have the other issues. Hopefully when you see your oncologist this Friday he will have some answers for you. Take care and stay safe.

Thanks so much Sandra. I feel a lot happier now. You will see what has happened in my new post. Take great care and thank you for being there for us all 😘
