🤔 I started out with Exemestine (Aromasin) & OTC allergy pills ( generic Allerest & gen Nasacort, 2 yrs.: no problems. Then new cancer clump found in spine. Oncologist put me on Ibrance, 3 mos. & just started Xgyva shots, still taking gen allergy meds. But yes, I sometimes sleep all day, some days I have to force myself to go over to sick friend's home (he's in worse shape than me), & just this month, my eyes water something terrible all night (except for tonight - 5/11/22) & my face will be sticky wet when I rub my eyes due to itchiness. I've left a message with my Dr.: Is it the Ibrance/Xgyva combo? But I don't think so cause this isn't one of the listed side effects. Or do we need to change my allergy meds? Maybe go back to the Claritin & Nasacort? Pollin & pollution are particularly bad where I am this year. How about you?

Have you asked about eye drops? Even over the counter ones from your pharmacist? I have been told tearing is due to dry eyes. And pollen right now is terrible!

You're not kidding! & the pollution! I was just wondering the same thing of Ycats277. Thinking she might be reacting to her environment instead of her meds. Pretty sure that's what's going on with me. But I want to doublecheck with my Onc about types of drops. Did you read her post?

Yes read hers. I would say she should start at the eye dr for a blocked duct.

I am nor sure what I had is what you have, but my eyes would just pour, tears running down my face, mostly from one eye. Saw a neuro-opthalmologist who told everyone in her waiting room they had dry eyes and told us to take drops. She told me also I had a blocked tear duct, but that is excruciating to clear, and I should just carry a tissue. I was on Ibrance and Fulvestrant. As soon as I stopped those meds, the flow from my eyes stopped -- so simultaneously I had no blocked tear duct or dry eyes? What a coincidence! I think our anecdotal accounts of side effects are sometimes more useful than the listed ones. I also took Xgeva, but I don't think that was it, because I continued it after stopping the Fulvestrant and no tears.

These little things can drive us crazy, and I find I am taking more meds, over the counter, to counteract the effects of the prescription meds. Too much, but if you find something that helps with this, go for it. And I think it is the meds.

It's possible. 👍 I'll find out more after the dr. follow up visit. You may be right. Anymore, I feel like "patient heal thyself". Ugh!

When I was taking Ibrance my allergy symptom were really severe, the post nasal drip , coughing and runny nose . When I mentioned it to my oncologist she prescribed medication for gerds & then a prescription allergy pill . The medication didn’t help . I had constant sinus pain . I also had low WBC also I am not sure if that was a factor. I asked if it could be the Ibrance and was told “ not likely “

After almost 2 years Ibrance quit working and I switched treatment , my allergy symptoms are now tolerable . I take a 24 hr Claritin daily .

Best of luck to find a solution , don’t give up , your quality of life is worth it . Just because it not on the list of side effects doesn’t mean it isn’t , our bodies are all different .

Hi, did you ever ask your doctor/see an eye specialist about trying the eye duct tubes we discussed several months ago?

So no more leaky eyes , One day I was googling things about the eyes and one lady said something that she went to the eye doctor and was given these drops and she gave me the name of them it was a prescription. When I got to the pharmacy they told me I need a prescription for it and that’s for dirty eyes somebody who has a bad infection. So I got to thinking. All I do all day long and I is rub my eyes with whatever I have whether by my hand my shirt or a tissue. I also remove the tears in the corners and inside the bottom lid by lifting the little way and absorbing the loaded area from tears. So I would wipe in there and in the corners. I stop that completely I shut my eyes real tight real tight and I pay whatever water comes out. I never stick anything and touch the flesh of my eye at all anymore. It completely went away all the tears. Within two weeks my eyes were back to normal and now they’ve been normal now for months. So when they do tier for just any normal reason I close them real tight and just pat the outside. Good luck
