I have been on the combination of anastrozole and Verzenio. I started on anastrozole and Ibrance; was on that combo for 10 months. After my lumpectomy, I continued with anastrozole and was switched to Verzenio. My medical oncologist said that I would be on that combo for two years, and then would continue with anastrozole ONLY. He said there is not any data that shows being on Verzenio more than two years is beneficial. He said that I would continue on anastrozole alone, after two years.

Hello! I have been wanting to ask the very same thing! I have a new oncologist, and that is one option that she suggested, since I do not tolerate the drugs well--especially find the AI"s to be quite toxic for me. Right now I am off drugs until the next PET scan--then we will see what to do next. The onc did mention a paper that studied Verzenio alone--she said she would get it for me--but I have not seen her yet. Maybe you can find it? Best! Kay

Hi Kay I have been on a couple of the A'ls and had faslodex with my Ibrance they didn't seem to help so maybe that is why I am on just Verzenio. Helena

I am going on Verzenio + Letrozole, so yesterday I read the patient info at the Lily website. It described three categories of patients. For one of them, Verzenio alone was recommended. The study is summarized there.
