Hi Helena,Did your oncologist tell you that you would be recommended hormonal treatment after taxol? Were you on hormonal treatment before chemo? Do you have mbc or early stage?

I am on my fifth line of treatment with mbc over 2.5 years. which is a chemo pill i also wonder if I would be able to go back on hormonal

Best,

Marina

I do have MBC and he said I would have some kind of hormone pill and I was on Afinitor before I started on Taxol. Helena

Thank you so much Helena. I hope you would be able to go on hormonal pills after. I believe Afinitor is not hormonal but some separate class. I have never heard that it was a first line of treatment. How were you tolerating it? You will probably go on Ibrance, Verzanio or Kisqali paired with letrozole or exemestane or anastrazole, arimidex. It’s the doctor’s choice. I am on a chemo pill and am very scared of it chemo. This is why I asked a similar question in some of my posts. If it is possible to go back on hormonal after chemo.

How were you tolerating taxol? Where are your Mets? I am on my fifth line over 2.5 years. Just read a post from a lady living with mbc foe 18 years. It gives me strength. I have anxiety all the time. Good luck!!!

Thank you Helena for sharing your journey. I am on Xeloda now but my oncologist lowered a dose It’s my fifth line of treatment over 2.5 years. Please let me know what your oncologist will put you on after taxol. Hope you will have a good scan. My Mets are in bones and was in liver The last pet ct showed improvement in liver but some problem in the right kidney. I am waiting for ct now and am very nervous. Good luck to you. Hope some curative drug will come out in our lifetime. There are a few on preclinical stage now. ErSO DFP is one of them. Best,

Marina

Hi Helena,Good luck with your scan. I am also going through a lot of tests now. The CT showed problems with the right kidney and thickened endometrial. I need four more tests. I got one and am waiting for results. I am also very nervous and anxious

Best to you. Keep in touch

Hi Helena,

Thank you very much for getting back to me and for sharing.

I am very happy for you. Now I know that it is possible to go on hormonal pills after IV chemo. Have you been on any drug from this group, e.g. Ibrance? I hope Verzenio pills will work well for you. Many people are on Verzenio for years.

I have many problems that the PET CT revealed but I hope they are not cancer related.

I am supposed to see the urologist and the gynecologist and go through many additional tests and biopsies. I hate this disease. I hope that some cure or a long time effective treatment will be out soon. I have faith in ERSO

Good luck to you and all of us.

Hello Marina , I pray that everything works out for you and keep me informed to know how things are going. My Oncologist told me that Verzenio is like a cousin to Ibrance and I will take probably an inhibitor with Verzenio. I don't know what kind of side effects I will have with these pills. I will let you know . I will keep you in my thoughts. Helena

Thank you Helena for sharing. I am on chemo pill now. This is why I wonder if I still have an option for Verzenio. I took Ibrance as my first line of treatment for one year with examestane and then with Faslodex. Best,

Marina

Hi Marina, After Ibrance I did have Radiation but it didn't seem to do anything and then I had a second opinion so I went on exloda and made me very sick had to stop this is when I had to go on Taxol. So 2 more treatments then I will be on Verzeino. Helena
