I want to thank whoever recommended Gengigel mouthwash. Works great for removing mouth sores! So happy to find some relief since just warm salt water wasn’t cutting it.

Thanks for sharing. My wife just start doxil chemo yesterday. Mouth sore is one of the side effects. I found it on amazon. It’s pricey but we will give it a try. Get mouthwash, not mouth rinse, right? There are two kinds. Thanks again!!

Yes, mouthwash. Thought pricy too but you get 3 bottles and only use small amount to rinse mouth. Follow directions of swishing mouth for at least 1 minute then don’t eat or drink after rinse for half hour. So far my mouth feels fine and I use about three times a day. Good luck and hope it works for you.

One more question, dose it add mint or any flavors? Mint is something dr wants us to avoid for mouthwash. I couldn’t see the ingredients from amazon page. Thanks.

Sorry I threw box away but it does have very mild minty flavor. Very mild taste. Maybe go on Gengigel website and see if flavor options.

I am on everalimus and my oncologist prescribed a mouthwash and I started using it even prior to everalumus. I was lucky not to develop mouth sores and he allowed me stop using the mouthwash after 2 month. It’s called Dexamethasone Oral Solution. I hated it but it did prevent mouth sores.

It is a prescription medication. It also gave me a dry mouth but it went away after I stopped using it.
