Hi. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September, 2016. It has metastasized to my bones. I am following the protocol in the book, “How to Starve Cancer without Starving Yourself”. One of my MDs is prescribing drugs off-label. Consequently, I am taking Celebrex to reduce cancer inflammation, Metformin to keep my blood sugar from fluctuations (not for diabetes), Letrozole, 10,000 iu of Vitamin D, twice weekly IV vitamin C 70 grams, and subcutaneous injections of mistletoe. My cancer markers are low. It’s a journey.

Thank-you. Hope your holidays are full of love and beautiful experiences.
Best wishes to you on the protocol you are following. It is great that your doctor is prescribing the drugs. I think that is so much better when your doctor supports your decisions. Hope you have very happy holidays. Sending hugs

Welcome! It certainly is a journey! Sounds like you are taking good care of yourself! You are very lucky your MD is prescribing off label drugs!

Hi Jubilee,A very warm welcome to the board. You have joined a friendly group.
Where do you get your mistletoe injections and vitamin C infusions in the U.S. ?
I have Mets to my lungs and am on a traditional treatment of Ibrance and Letrozol since March 2017.
Wish you the best of luck and am glad you joined the board. Blessings, Hannah
Jubilee1874 - I was wondering if you were still following the plan from "How to Starve Cancer"? Can you please share you thoughts and experiences after 1 year?
No, I’m not. I was trying Kisqali with fluvestrant, but that only seems to simply be weakening me. My MBC on Ibrance/ Letrozole and Kisqali only worsened my health with lots of side effects and CA 15 numbers increasing by 50 points/month.
I had a Candida infection for 12 weeks. My system was so weak, it could not maintain the normal flora and fauna balance with my gut. I even saw an infectious disease specialist. He couldn’t help. Another MD prescribed 100 mg tablets of Diflucan x1or2 daily. That kept the infection tolerable but never fixed it. That MD blamed it on eating high glycemic food (which I avoid as those foods have a rapid negative impact). So, I did the only thing I could think of and that was intermittent fasting to try to starve the Candida. Not good enough…
Anyway, now I am seeing a renowned Chinese herbalist whose specialty is cancer tx. I stopped the Kisqali and start his herbs. In less than a week, my Candida is in balance as I am regaining strength. Very thankful.
Within the alternative medicine community there is a saying: “If something is working, keep doing it. (All the oncology meds were ineffective. My CA15 was climbing past 300.) If something is partially working, add something. (There was no evidence that the tx. was effective.) If something is not working, try something else. (That’s why I am now trying a Chinese cancer tx.)”
I truly don’t know about future decisions. I am scheduled for scans in January. I like my oncologist, I don’t want to lose her. But I do feel it’s my body. Ultimately, it’s my decision. I will keep the group updated as to how this new tx. is working. Hopefully, this answers your question. One day at a time and faith.🌹
