Left abdominal pain

Hi all!

I hope everyone is having one of their better days ☺️

I am wondering if anyone else has had left abdominal dull, but intense aching under their left ribs from their mbc with liver and lung mets and taking Verzenio. Nothing is showing on images so the doctors just brush it off but its the only pain i have with this disease over the last year. (Diagnosed in 2019)

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Ange.I’m not on the same meds as you. But Ibrance and Anastrozole.

I had a week and half a few weeks ago, of the most excruciating pain exactly where you have stated. Underneath the left rib right inside of me.

My Mets are to spine, ribs hip, skull. Too many to tell you where all of them are.

I told my onc that it was definitely not in the rib where one of my Mets are, but deeper inside. It felt similar to a stitch, after running but in a different spot to a stitch.

Is that the spleen? I don’t know.

But I’m a week away from getting me 3 monthly scans, and she said we still just wait and see. But meanwhile the pain has disappeared.

I get these things where I get terrible pain here or there and then it disappears.

I’ll keep you posted if I find out anything to report.

How long has yours been going on for and is it still there?

Sorry to hear that you are dealing with so much. I get it sister! Thank you so much for the ideas; you give me food for thought. I have heard “referred pain” and “spleen area” from physicians assistants . Were your bone mets discovered on a CT scan? How are those detected? Sometimes i do have bone pain over that spot. Thanks again ♥️Andge

Pain that is unexplained is always worrisome but given our disease, it can come and go as you probably know. I would wonder if it is from your lung mets. Mine have never caused any pain but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. I hope it goes away soon for you.

Cheers, June S.

Thank you for your response June S. ♥️ Yes, maybe lungs, especially like a “referred pain. I only have very small lesions in the left lung though, and not high. Feels more like gastro tho. Will keep researching, but not too much so as to stop enjoying life! 😁 thanks again and Cheers to you too ♥️Andge

Sorry I was so late responding to you. I didn't see your query. In any case, I take Verzenio and I do not have the problem you describe except for cramps with bowel movements sometimes. That is lower abdominal as opposed to under the rib cage. Wishing you well,

Cheers, June S.
