Looking for any helpful advice or suggestions. I had early stage breast cancer in 2002 and was cancer free until 3 months ago. It has metastasized and is now in my right lung, pleura, bones, liver and nodes. I have been on Xeloda for 2 months , 1 week on 1 week off. No side effects so far however I just had a cat scan and no change. I also take Letrozole daily and Zometa once a month. Thank you.

I am sorry to hear of your recurrence, but it's encouraging that you had such a long disease-free interval. I was diagnosed with MBC in 2011 after 18 years and had metastases in my lung, as well malignant pleural and pericardial effusion.
Although two months is still early to determine whether treatment is working, the fact that the disease hasn't grown is a good sign.
If you are interested in learning about approved treatments by subtype, cutting edge research, contending with side effects, and more, you may want to read my book, "The Insider's Guide to Metastatic Breast Cancer" which is also available as a complimentary .pdf. I hope you respond very well to your treatment!
Where do you live? Always looking for someone close by! I am outside the Washington, DC area. How much of your liver is involved? I too have liver mets, bones, omentum, lining of my lung, pleural fluid (but that is minimal). Have you had any liver nerve pain? Did you have a liver biopsy?
I am from CT. The liver involvement is minimal . No pain and no liver biopsy yet. We have similar areas affected. I am ER+(weak), PR+ and HER2-. What are the features of your breast cancer? What treatment are you on? What are the side effects have you encountered?
I am in CT. Where do you live. I'm by the water in Branford!
