Ibrance was free to all in NZ! And they gave me 6months supply when I left fro the USA… which is a nice thing they do for citizens that travel. Now I am in the USA and we are paying $36k per year for a good health plan that allows me to get Ibrance for free. Even though it costs so much in fees- I am very thankful to Pfizer Oncology! I worked for then for 15 years in usa and then NZ.

Wow free Ibrance. I love NZ. We were married at Lake Tekapo. I always wanted to live there.

I work full time and have excellent insurance but it’s becoming hard to work so I may be leaving in a year. We will start shopping for Insurance quotes soon. Maybe NZ is the way to go haha. 🙂

In response to Shafight. I’ve been on Ibrance for 2-1/2 years. I get exhausted at night and the last 2 weeks are tiring. I’ve never been on Faslodex, just letrozole. Glad you are doing well. 🙂

We were in Tekapo last year just after our lockdown… what a winter joy it was… did you go in the thermal pools and sit snd watch your cold breath snd thr diamonds twinkling in the sky….my friends are visiting there now snd said there was incredible hikes too.About insurance… sticker shock for us coming back to USA. We are paying $3k month snd still have to reach a $4 deductible! But did you know that we are all eligible for Medicare 2 years from our MBC diagnosis? I thought that would be GREAT…. But some ladies here till about paying a lot for Ibrance on Medicare so will have to weigh it all up. But the insurance alone costs us $36K/ year! How do people do it?
