I've been on Faslodex & Ibrance for 6 months re bone mets in pelvis. Had scan result yesterday & the cancer is inactive, tissue mass around lesion has reduced & lesion is starting to heal over so treatment is working! I've gone from limping up the stairs to now jogging 10k so very happy & hoping it continues.

That’s great news and I hope you continue to do well on the Ibrance combo . I too am on Ibrance (3 1/2 years) and have had bone Mets to pelvis , but they have been sclerotic ( sealed over) / stable for 3 years. I walk and cycle (e-bike) for exercise ... they are gentler on the bones ! Take care! x
That's awesome! I use to run half marathons before this diagnosis. However I am praying and asking God to give me the strength and healing to do it again! I am on Letrozole/Ibrance 75mg with xgeva shots. I go on Monday for bone scan, ct scan, bloodwork and xgeva shot. It's been 5 months since my first scans after I started treatment. Those scans were stable and showed healing in the bones and tumor markers way down. I had spinal surgery 9 months ago and I have had pain since then and some different pains in my back. I had to learn to walk again and wear a brace to support my spine because two of my vertebraes were removed. So God has been so good to me and to alot of us battling! So run one for me until I am able to run again 😁 God bless you,
This is almost my exact story as well. I would love to think that i could run too but i still have so much back pain. I had donor bone, cement and rods. I AM grateful to be here though and that was 5 and 1/2 years ago. Good luck in your continued progress. I feel like success for anyone is success for all of us!
Thank you, thank you thank you! I tell you what I feel like I have been hit on all sides and the ugly devil is trying with all he has but my God is so much bigger!! Thanks for the encouragement!! I will keep everyone posted!! 🙏🏃🏾♀️
So glad to hear of your positive results from this combo! I have a very similar diagnosis with bone Mets in the pelvis. Like you I was limping badly with a grinding pain in my hip. Radiation gave me remarkable relief within weeks and then continued use of IBrance and anastrozole as well as monthly Zometa infusions has given me a life changing improvement. One year later I am walking and playing golf and really returning to a pretty normal existence. I do have fatigue and need lots of sleep and recovery time, but I’m always grateful. I hope our good news continues and is shared by more and more MBC survivors. This combo seems to keep it stable…🥰. I can live with that😉
Wonderful news! I too have had good luck with Ibrance 125 and letrozole. 10 radiation treatments for pain ( in spite of side effects of vomiting) Mine is L1 and L3. Pain is really subsiding.I feel that we are so lucky to have this combo of treatments. Enjoy this weekend! Clair
That’s an amazing fast response in terms of being able to run 10k ! I’m still pretty much in awe how well these drugs work when they do work. I’m also very active and can appreciate how great that’s got to make you feel to be able to get out there and do that again
Happy to hear your great news and am also thrilled that I have had similar results after 6 months on the same combo. I have a pleural effusion on my left lung that has gone from “moderate” to “very small” on my June scans and a nodule in the same location that “ is no longer detectable”! Onc was surprised and said I should be happy that am responding so well. Wishing you continued good news as well! Celebrate! 🎉
That is wonderful news and very impressive to be doing 10k runs. How lovely you have been able to see such an improvement in your physical abilities. Long May it continueClare
