Painful tumours
Greetings ! I can relate to the sense of pain in breast tumors. I'm ER/PR+ Her2 negative with metastasis that spread to the pleural lining (outside the lung) and a few nodes underneath my breast bone. I initially had a lumpectomy in 2019 (Mar) - right breast - followed by 4 months Chemo, another surgery to remove the lymph nodes under my right arm, then 2 months of radiation which ended in Nov 2019. The tumor came smack dab back in the same spot as the lumpectomy in Aug of 2020. Diagnosed MBC in Nov of 2020. The tumor burst through and is still an open wound the size of a dime along with a few other bumps on the breast. I agree with girlsptz that that after spread - and my onc does as well - that the tumors on my breast are great "Visual Indicators" of progress but it is certainly annoying and seeing them everyday can mess with my head. Mine talk to me (lol). I personally want the breast removed but they want to wait to see how treatment is. Some days they are painful but I'm not sure if that is "psychosematic". I was on iBrance/Faslodex from Nov 2020 to May 2020 but after my last PetScan EVEN THOUGH the tumors reduced by 31%, my onc wants to move me to Afinitor and Faslodex primarily it seems because of the pleural malignancy. So the short answer is YES. Days the tumors seem not to bother me, other times yes. Since I still have an open wound (but it's not oozing, smelling etc), it just hasn't healed and looks like a gigantic boil that has burst. I've tried everything. Antibiotic ointment, rubbing CBD oil on it..... at some point I'll force the issue but being 7 months into this journey now, I'm gathering as much information as I can. Frankly, I'd lop my right boob off if I could Keep us posted and heart hugs ! xoxox
