I have been on Ibrance and Faslodex for ten months. Next week I get a PET Scan My port has been very useful and it has served me well throughout my treatments and blood draws. When I learn more about my treatment, I’ll share more.

Sounds like your doing fine on the treatment so I hope you’ll get good results on the scan. Keep us posted. Chris
Good luck next week. Sending lots of positive vibes your way. Let us know how it went. xoxo
Good luck, Carolyn x
Thinking of you Susan and adding my hopes.
Hi Susan! Glad you are doing well. I am on the same meds and curious as to why you have a port? I had one with my first bc for chemo but it was removed right after.
Ditto Gingerann1. I had a port with my bc for chemo. I'm also on the same medications and besides the monthly blood draws, oral iBrance and the lovely (lol) shots in the patootie for Faslodex, I had my port removed. Perhaps she has small veins.
I’ve been on the same treatment plan for 19 months and my last scan showed no active disease. Prayers for a good scan report for you Susanita,
That is awesome! I am on Ibrance and Letrozole and am hoping to be on them a very long time.
Praying for good news on your PET scan. Am curious about them putting in a port for you? Do they have difficulty finding veins for blood draws and testing or was it put in for prior treatments? Hope you don't mind my asking. They always have to stick me twice for draws or IV's and I have thought about getting a port.
Great that the treatment is working. Ibrance wasn't any good for me. Wishing you good scan results.
Cheers, June S.
Blessings ! I've also been on Ibrance and Faslodex for almost 6 months now. My next PETscan is late May. Ibrance is oral and Faslodex is * a shot in the cheeks* (lol)
I used to have a port when I went through IV Chemo in 2019 every two weeks for 4 months before this bugger came back. I don't have a port now mainly because I can handle once a month blood draws
May I ask why you have a port? Regardless - best on your PET !!! xoxo
Hello Susanita,
I have been on Ibrance and Letrozole for almost two years. I was very tired and lethargic for about six months - give or take - since then I have slowly regained some energy. I didn't have any serious side effects except the tiredness and I am grateful for that. I have had a lot of time to rest since the Covid virus has kept us isolated. So I spent a lot of time at home just relaxing. Not having to be anywhere was a real blessing for me. I was suddenly happy to have such a quiet life style. Covid has given me the opportunity to slow down. I think this alone time with only my dear husband for company has done a lot to help me heal. I am now gardening and loving it. In the past I gardened because I felt I had to do it. I thought it was expected of me. I also never made the time for what I enjoyed. I learned something about myself in the past two years. I learned that I need lots of alone time. In the past I spent too much time trying to keep up my social life. I just didn't take the time in the past just to coddle myself. I was always trying to coddle others. This is a real learning experience for me.
Yes, I think I am experiencing some healing at least mentally and hopefully physically too. Time will tell. I think it helps to keep telling yourself every single day that you are healing. Your brain will absorb that information and help and guide you towards wellness. I attribute some of my sense of wellness to that daily mantra.
I don't know anything about the drug Faslodex but I wish you the best results from your combination of drugs. I am a firm believer that we will regain our health when we find ways to love and care for ourselves. I think healing is a combination of really wanting to live plus good nutrition, good books on healing and a loving caring support group.
Many of us have tried meditation, yoga, breathing exercises and certain diets. I think these things help too but mostly I think you have to find out what lifestyle you need in order to heal. All the best. Hugs Marlene
Dear Marlene,Thank you for sharing your experience with me as I do agree that taking time for oneself helps one heal. Meditation and yoga are good habits to acquire as is relaxing and resting. The fatigue is difficult for me to deal with, but now I started watching movies and reading again. My hubby has been so supportive and that makes the difference. Thank you for your kind words and I wish you the very best on your journey too. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
