Faslodex side effects
My pain has definitely increased since I started faslodex but tumour markers have gone down so I’ll have to sort the pain problem somehow...trying morphine but side effects dire
Sorry can’t help you with the other question
Barb xx
Barb, I've had only two loading doses so far, but YES, I have had significant hip pain both times. I joke with my husband that I look like bowlegged drunk trying to walk and down up the stairs. The first couple of days after the shot are the worst and then it calms. Have you tried a heating pad (or one for each hip)? I've had some luck with that. I do take a small regular dose of medical marijuana (RSO oil), too. Not sure how much it helps with pain, but I sure do sleep well and am much less anxious about everything (most days).
There was hardly any pain with my injections. My only problem is a numb spot on the outside of my right left approx. where the underpants leg band is. It's been months since this occurred and it has not gone away. I have been taken off of the Faslodex because my tumor marker was going up. It was much more tolerable than the Ibrance that I am on now.
Hi Barb: I have been on Faslodex since 3/2019. I have had some pain in the injection site area that lasts a few days. I also at times have itching, bruising and a hard area under the skin. I walk after the shots which seems to help and in the winter my heated seats in the car help. It sounds like you have nerve damage. The nurse or nurses must have hit a nerve. I am stable on the Faslodex for now. I have a liver tumor. My labs are normal as well as the tumor markers. Good luck to all of us in our journey.
For me, it seems to depend on who's giving the shots. But always sore at injection site after. Heat helps!
Make sure the nurse is giving the med properly. It needs to be givenl in the upper outer quadrant of the buttocks, not near the sciatic nerve at all. The solution needs to be warmed up a bit and injected slowly. I always lie down so I'm sure my muscles stay relaxed. Also I use my heated car seat going home and then my heating pad all afternoon. That really helps.

I wonder if it makes a difference were they do the Faslodex injections? Mine are done high up at the top of the hip. I have never had any pain or discomfort.
Cheers, June S.
That’s where they do mine too I don’t know maybe it’s from where my lesions are on my spine Wish I could get an answer from my doctor but he isn’t sure either and he is a top notch Ongologist guess like with everything else with cancer just have to grin and bare it🤷♀️ Hope all is well with you. Such a blessing having this site.
Seems it is the same for everyone. Keeps things stable but doesn't shrink anything. I'll take that.
Cheers, June S.
I’ll echo the ladies that say the shots have to be done in the right place. I have my favorite nurse. After she administers them I have no pain at all. If it is someone else I have had varying levels of pain including pain down my leg that took two months to go away.
