Results after needle biopsy of lung...

Maddyandherkittens profile image

Good Evening Ladies,

I am thrilled to report that the lesion in my lung is not cancer!!! It is possibly caused by the Ibrance, they used the term granuloma which I don't understand completely, but there is no malignancy. A huge weight has been lifted and thank you again, all you supportive and compassionate folks.

Have a wonderful weekend and stay well...

Great news!!! Thx for sharing!

Thanks for the info! My Oncologist and I have discussed that "rare" side effect several times. I have scar tissue in both lungs from radiation treatments in the seventies and eighties, and asthma (very well-controlled) I always feel my lungs are vulnerable.

My Dr. is planning on talking to the specialty Pharmacist to see if this should be reported to the FDA. That is how they get their data on side effects.

That is fabulous news ❤️

Great news. I hope mine turn out to be nothing as well. No one has mentioned a biopsy so far. See the oncologist Tuesday.

Did your lesions grow at all, before your biopsy? Mine have increased in size, just slightly.

Cheers, June S.

Thanks. I think my oncologist has decided to let them go for now because I am starting on Ibrance and Faslodex and thinks that might possibly stop any more growth.

Cheers, June S.
