Today I am going for my total body. MRI and CT scan. Have had a feeling of fluid on my lungs and not been well for two weeks. I an on Xeloda, Avastin and denuomab.This is my firstnscan since I changed treatment and it is my 64th bday tomorrow.

A bit challenging these days to make your special day a bit more special with all the covid restrictions. My boyfriend is having his big 60 next Friday. All of my great plans are cancelled due to Covid. Yich. Even a tangible present I ordered for him wont be here for him to unwrap because the factory in Illinois is closed now! I thi k we will do a virtual zoom party with his family overseas and I will cook a nice dinner for him and get a little cake - even if I have to make it myself! Stay positive! Unfortunatelywhen I got to the hospital they wouldn’t let my husband in. He has been waiting in the car for hours 😢

I wish you all the best as you go in for your scans. Let's hope it shows that your treatment is working and that you are stable. You mentioned that you feel there is fluid on your lungs. If so, hopefully that can be drained. I hope it doesn't make breathing difficult for you. Let us know how you get on.

Waiting for scan and lab results is always impossibly hard but it's good to know what's going on, especially in your lungs. Hoping for good results and a clear path ahead. Waiting for scan results is always horrible but you can’t second guess the results. I’ve had times where i’ve been convinced that the results were going to be bad and they weren’t and times where I thought they were just routine and I had progression. I just hope they come through quickly for you 🙂💕

I’m not a natural at dealing with this, but today, after I woke up and gagged from nerves, got tearful and tried to reach out to friends (it’s a nice Saturday. Not isolated by yourself). Then we will deal with the scan results. This is so hard. The uncertainty and constant threat of setbacks takes enormous energy just to endure. Take a deep breath in and exhale thoughts of the mri results. You will deal with them when you get them. Don’t let this steal your day. Consciously chose to celebrate and be happy. If you wear lipstick, apply the brightest color you have and go blow out those candles. Let us know how it goes
