Verzenio

Does anyone on this site take Verzenio? I’m going to be put on this drug because Ibrance is not working so well anymore. Please advise if you’ve had this experience. Thank you. Kathy

I responded with a long response but I put it where you originally asked the question and someone suggested you start a new thread. I cannot find where that was now but if you know you can see my response there. I was on Ibrance first for only three months (hated that drug) and then put on Verzenio. So if you remember where you first brought it up, my long response is there.

I was on ibrance for 3 1/2 months and had too many bad side effects. I have been told to try verzenio and from what I read it causes bad side effects too like diarrhea!!!!!

What is your experience from this drug?

I have MBC right lung and pleura newly diagnosed in January 2020.

I took Ibrance for 19 months, with little or no real side effects with the exception of very dry hair with curly edges! However when it stopped working I was put on Verzenio in February and I must say I haven’t really felt very well— very tired, achy, weak and yes, lots of profuse on and off diarrhea! I am having a PET scan on June 8th with hope that it’s doing the job of keeping my cancer at bay! If not, I’ll be put on the chemo drug Taxol, which I’m not looking forward to! I have always been very ambitious but believe me, I’m dragging these last months on Verzenio! I can deal, if only it keeps me going forward! We are all in this together, and it’s difficult to have this terrible diagnosis, but we must keep the faith and make the most of each day! Bless us all! Stay well, my friends!❤️❤️❤️

Yes i was on ibrance for 7 months didn’t work for me. After a liquid biopsy revealed i should not be on letrozole so i am on faslodex and start verzenio tomorrow

I was on Ibrance for 9 months and it worked great till it didn't. Was put on Verzenio and faslodex for 2 months and it didn't work for me. Was put on Taxol for 2 months and the same thing no positive response. Now on Xeloda and all is working out ok at this time. Good luck with Verzenio. The only downfall I had symptomatically was hair loss, nausea and some abdominal discomfort. All manageable. I hope it works for you...

Thank you! Did you by chance get a verzenio welcome kit when you started?

No I didn't get anything from them except anxiety.
