Iam just on Verzenio alone and does anyone get out of breath and dizzy. Helena

Please talk to your oncologist. Verzenio can cause a potentially serious lung problem called interstitial pneumonitis.

That being said, there are a lot of potential causes for shortness of breath. (I'm an MD but not an authority and of course I don't know your situation.)

I take Verzenio and had some shortness of breath. I saw a pulmonologist, and had pulmonary function tests and a chest CT. Thankfully I did not have it.

I was one of those unlucky people who did get pneumonitis when I was on Verzenio. It was treated with steroids but I can never go back on that drug again. I would definitely check with your doctor

That is a rare side effect with Verzenio. I have been on Verzenio now for three years. Any of these kinds of medications are going to have POSSIBLE side effects. I do remember reading that in Japan, when it was introduced over there for women with stage iv breast cancer, there were several women that got interstitial pneumonitis while on it.

Out of 2,000 Japanese woman put on it, 14 of them got interstitial pneumonitis. The Japan Health Ministry warned oncos in Japan about this. Apparently, it seems to be a side affect that primarily happens to women of Asian descent.

I have been on this for three years and at the lowest dosage which is 2 50 mg. pills per day.

I talked to the Nurse today about my breathing and lightheaded when working outside, She told me to take it easy the next 2 days before i see my Oncologist. She also told me I am not drinking enough water. Helena
