Radiation for pain

I'm scheduled to get radiation on my breast to help with pain. My breast was already radiated fifteen years ago when I first had breast cancer. Normally you can't radiate the same breast again except for pain my doctor says. Has anyone gone through this? Any side effects? Thank you for your replies.

Strangely I’m going to ask about radiation to my spine as I’m in a lot of pain and it gets me down

When I was first diagnosed I had one dose where my fracture is...when I asked about having it again my oncologist said no

Maybe it’s not good to be re radiated in the same place?.. however in your case there’s been a long interval since the last dose

I must say the dose I had was totally fine...no side effects at all
