UPDATE - First Progress Report

Stable, no progression, slight shrinkage on chest wall πŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺ.

So now I have something to compare Im introducing a couple of supplements to see what difference they make at next scan.

Hubby has just been prescribed Doxycycline - maybe I should nab it off him lol

*************************

So had my first progress ct scan last week to see if treatments working - results tomorrow. I dont feel anxious at the minute - hope it lasts. Wish me luck.

Josie

Hi Josie,

Is this your first post-diagnosis CT scan? I hope I got that right! Just try to stay calm and distract yourself as much as possible until you get the results. I wish you all the best. Hopefully you will learn that treatment is working and that the disease is stable.

I had one after a month but that was because my breathing deteriorated. This is the first proper progress report. I feel fine thanks. Been out for a meal for hubby's birthday. Thought scanxiety would have kicked in but it hasnt so aim glad. Xx josie xx

Hi Josie,

Ah, OK. I don't know how you feel about seeing your reports, but I always ask for copies. My oncologist has never given me my reports (she's made excuses) but my GP does. I can then compare pathology and radiology reports and see what's going on. It's been a relief to see improvement. I hope the anxiety does not kick in. I wouldn't really recommend it! It's that awful empty feeling in the pit of your stomach you feel when you are first told of your diagnosis. Keep us posted about how you are feeling.

I meant to ask GP for a copy before so I could have any questions ready but Ive just been so busy Ive not had time. I will ask though cos last report never even mentioned my lymph nodes. I want a report on ALL my mets. They compare reports so Im willing to bet there'll be no mention again but as she reported to GP the other month that theyd grown to 3cm I want to know. They havent btw, next time I went I queried it and when she examined she estimated 1cm. Im sick of saying to her they swell up more some days, she doesnt listen. Never mind. See what tomoz brings. Good news God willing xx

Hopefully you will get some good news tomorrow. I feel the same as you. I want to know what's going on in my body. I get annoyed when I find out my oncologist has kept things from me, such as my axillary lymph node resolving itself and not telling me my liver is disease-free when I have repeatedly asked for clarification. I had to read all that in my last radiology report. Sometimes you really have to push for answers.

Sending hope, hugs & prayers for encouraging news πŸ™β€οΈπŸŒˆ!

Thanks ladies. Been out for tea with pals and just got in. Very happy with the results. Also she said the spine mets were showing up brighter but apparently that's what they do when healing so that's also positive. xx
