Update

Well regarding being out of breath started last Sunday 6/30 went for a paracenticis at my local hospital they removed 4.2 liters fluid released me still out of breath went to local pcp said lungs clear sounded good I asked if could be blood clot he said no. So went back to onc in Cleveland Wednesday sent me for cat scan found lots of clots both lungs took me by transport to seidman cancer center put on heparin and tons of blood work finally released me Sunday now on Lovenox shots twice a day so if you can’t breath push doctors about blood clots feeling much better now if you think something is wrong trust you instincts.

So sorry to hear of your troubles. Was the fluid from your lungs or chest cavity? Do the blood clots cause the fluid or is it just an unfortunate councidence that you got them both at the same time? It never ceases to amaze me when I hear stories like this of people being sent home erroneously. Like why would they just say no its not a blood clot without even doing a scan or anything. They dont have xray eyes do they. Unfortunately its all down to funding isnt it. Well, thank goodness you were able to get to see your onc and get sorted. Definitely a lesson in listening to your own intuition. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

my dad had multiple pulmonary emboli--it is very dangerous. Good for you!! We NEED to always push for what we know is going on with our bodies. Do you know about Dr. Hyman at Cleveland Clinic?

Not sure I guess just a coincidence I will let pcp know it was blood clots even though he said lungs were clear since I was breathless and had paracentisis the day before so glad went to onc in Cleveland the next day

So glad you are doing better despite the initial fx from the local pcp. I hope you let him know so he will learn you can’t rule out blood clots with a stethescope. It is an important lesson for all of us not to accept a diagnosis or treatment that doesn’t make sense 💕.
