After 7 rounds of Kisqali/femara my recent pet/ct scan showed no evidence of malignancy. I was diagnosed last November after a fall which broke my right hip. I was delayed two months starting a medicine because I broke the left hip 3 weeks later while rehabbing for the right one. I had mets in the skull, ribs, sacrum, and pelvis. My doc perscribed Kisqali because she said it was less dangerous for blood clots than Ibrance and I had had a blood clot in each leg while in the rehab hospital. I also had 10 radiation treatments before I started the Kisqali.
Today the findings on my scan reads: grossly unremarkable!!!
The doctor advises that after the September appointment I will visit and have the Xgeva shots every 8 weeks for awhile instead of every 4 weeks. That will be a nice reprieve.
I have cut down on my wine consumption but tonight is an exception. Raise a glass with me dear friends!!!!!

CHEERS TO YOU! Such good news, thank you for sharing. It's good to hear this about Kisqali too as it doesn't seem to come up much here. May the healing continue!
Please let me know how you do on the 200mg. I started with 600mg then after two months went down to 400mg because of the low WBC. I feel so much better on the 400mg but long to have a normal energy level again.
I am not pushing my doctor for this as the 400 has worked so well for me.
Yes, I had partial hip replacements in both hips. The folks at the rehab hospital were so surprised to see me back 3 weeks later but nearly as surprised as me.
I am not sure about that. From what I have read it is just a newer version of the same type of medicine as Ibrance. My doc went with Kisqali because of less chance for a blood clot. Others on here may know more than me but I would definitely check with your doctor.
Greetings: Sister/ warrior, and cheers. it is time to c-e-l-e-b-r-a-t-e the good news. Sing, and shout it to the mountain tops. I am so happy for you , and your loved ones. God is awe-mazing XoXoXoXo Gods continued blessings.
Overall I am doing well on Kisqali. My side effects are like the ladies on Ibrance and mostly tiredness toward the end of the cycle and the first few days off the medicine. I get low WBC but never low enough to postpone taking the medicine. I did get EKG's for the first 4 cycles and that was it.
I am doing very well (I think). I will have another PET/CT scan on Monday and I'll know for sure then but I'm feeling okay. I still get tired toward the end of the cycle and the first few days on the week off. I am halfway through my 12 cycle.
How about you? Still on Kisqali? I have just seen commercials on TV for it. I have seen tons for Ibrance but none for Kisqali until this past week.
Hi Audrey...good luck on your scan! I had a scan last Monday but because of the holiday I’m not sure when I’ll get the results.
I’m on my 3rd cycle of Kisqali along with Faslodex since October. I’m hoping scans will show positive or at least stable results. This is my second treatment. I was on Ibrance/Letrozole for only 7 months. I hated how I felt on those drugs. Now I’m feeling ok most days. I do feel tired at times but I’m able to function thank god! Keep me posted on your scan. I’ll keep you posted as well.
My doctor's office called with the results of my scans on Thursday. (I'm so glad they did because it would have been difficult waiting until my appointment on Jan 13). I had reached NED status in August and was on pins and needles again with this scan. My CA 27-29 tumor marker had risen two months ago by about 25 points. It has since come back down by 10 points but still not at the lowest it had been which was 53.
Hi Audrey... I saw the commercial this evening while watching the Golden Globes. Wow it’s a lonnnggg commercial....they mention ALL THE “horrible” side effects! Geeezzz....
Thank you for your reply. I am on a trial with Kisqali and Faslodex. I am on my second cycle. I agree some side effects are the same as Ibrance... but for me Ibrance/Letrozole really kicked my butt. The fatigue and body aches were becoming debilitating. I’ve been having appointments every 2 weeks since October 22 for bloodwork and EKGs. I do feel some fatigue, nausea and sometimes feel out of breath.
Keep me posted on your journey. I will do the same. Best regards, Maria
Hi Sandra... YES IM PRAYING FOR AT LEAST STABLE. When my scan in October showed progression after only 7 months on Ibrance/Letrozole I was just devastated. It’s almost a year since my mbc diagnosis.
I want 2020 to start off with good news. Many exciting things will happen in 2020.
My older son graduates high school. He’s going to Europe for Easter break. He’ll start college. My younger son will turn 13. My husband has already planned a couple of family trips AND I WILL CELEBRATE MY 50th BIRTHDAY!!!
Wishing you all the best for 2020. Thank you for your friendship and support.
