Brain Mets

Just got the PET scan report, and there’s progression to brain. The report says “Enhancing solid lesion in the left parietal lobe with abnormal uptake SUV 16.9 and corresponding CT 1.9x1.6cm

I am meeting the doctor on Monday, but anxious to know what would be the next treatment options. Am currently on First line perjeta +Herceptin

Hi mbcfrom2017 - I'm so sorry about the news; certainly not what you wanted to hear...I had posted recently with a question re: early brain mets symptoms (it was a query re: my sis...I have bone mets only at this point..) and was really heartened to learn that many women do really well with them. It sounds like you have one tumor...I'm hopeful that they can deal with it effectively, but I have no insight into what the next steps might be. I imagine it's a long wait until Monday, though...I'm sending good vibes, take care, and please do let us know how you're doing...

I’m so sorry to hear this news. Where are you living? I would expect that you will likely be started on steroids right away and probably some radiation. Good that its one lesions which is a great factor. Praying that you can breath and relax this weekend. Are you having any symptoms such as headaches? Praying and thinking if you.

Thanks. I’m living in India and the only symptom I have is with my vision where many a time distant objects overlap and no headaches.
