My wife has been on Ibrance and Faslodex but it appears to not be as effective as it was. The doctor has recommended Xeloda. What has been your experience with Xeloda?

Dr. Is Recommending Xeloda
I'm in the middle of my first week on Xeloda, after the Faslodex/Ibrance combo didn't work and liver mets increased. Of the options presented to me (Alpelisib, Affinitor & Arimidex, Tamoxifen, or an immunotherapy trial), Xeloda seemed like the best choice. Fewer side effects that are manageable, dose and scheduling flexibility, and a good track record. If you search "Xeloda" here you'll find lots of encouraging stories. I'm taking 1300 mg twice a day, 7 days on, 7 days off. My naturopathic oncologist likes it too because it has been studied in depth and there are some supplements that can help with side effects. My oncologist also said that returning to an aromatase inhibitor and targeted therapy is definitely an option after Xeloda; it doesn't necessarily mean graduating to IV chemo. Hope that helps!
