WBC
Normal range is 5-10 thousand. Mine usually hit 3.8 thousand on last days of ibrance. Doc has not changed anything. What is your number? You sound concerned.
According to my blood tests, WBC should be between 3.5 and 11.0. My onc. pays more attention to absolute neutrophils which should be between 1.12 and 6.72. If you're concerned, ask your doctor.
Your ANC is what the doc is most interested in . Below .5 is way too low.
When My anc dropped to .6, they took me off Ibrance. My scan shows no evidence of disease, after 18 months on the protocol. If /when the scans change, I’ll go back on at a lower dose. I was already down to 100 mg, so I would have to go to 75.
Being new to all of this, I had to look up ANC and found this. Maybe someone else is in the dark too, so I thought I'd share! now off to do the math! God bless and heal us all in Jesus name, amen! <3
The most important infection-fighting WBC is the neutrophil (NEW-truh-fil). The number doctors look at is called your absolute neutrophil count (ANC). A healthy person has an ANC between 2,500 and 6,000. The ANC is found by multiplying the WBC count by the percent of neutrophils in the blood.
Oh and also need to ask, is it the 67% LYMPH (neut) the multiplier I am looking for? if so, and I did the math right, mine was 2.1. WBC 3.05 times 67.3% that is ... 2.05 as my ANC. Thanks again!
Thank you all for enlightening me!💕
Mine was 1.4 and the doctor stop ibrance for now until the next month. She will also reduce the dose next month. My test results were good so she is not to hurry with Ibrance.
My ANC is usually at 1.8 or 2.0 at the end of a 21 day cycle of Ibrance and the oncologist is happy with the numbers. I do take Turkey Tail tincture to stimulate my immune system...without it I fall to an ANC of 1.2.
