How can I keep my mom comfortable and help with pain?

My mom is in severe pain all the time!! the pain is in her ribs, legs, hips, pelvic, neck, she is always nauseous even though she has meds! It’s terrible. She has only started hormone pill this is day 3. To much pain and nausea to start chemo! What can I do to keep her comfortable my heart aches!

Hi. Good morning. I know how your mom feel. I used hot electric pad, and Tylenol I used this all time for the first month. I hope feel better soon. 🎀

Please let her doctor know. There are medicines for nausea and pain that should bring some relief.

I agree. Call her oncologist or palliative care doc. They will be able to perscribe things to help her.

Anti nausea and appetite enhancing meds helped me a lot. To reduce the side effects of chemo I use CBD oil. It’s very good with pain

Is there a palliative care team where your Mom is being treated? Pain management is more of a process rather than a one size fits all solution. It may require different meds at different doses together with some form of therapy and/or alternative or complementary methods of pain relief. As Mariootsi already suggested, call her oncologist ASAP. No one should have to suffer in pain.

Try an infrared heating pad. You can purchase on Amazon. The ladies say it is great for pain.
