Does anyone take cbd and blood thinners? (Fragmin) my mum has been in terrible pain lately to the point she was giving up! I bought her some cbd and she has took this for the past 3 days and miraculously has had no pain but has had a bit of the runs, I read it can cause this sometimes but also come across it interacting with blood thinnners? She didn’t take any last night or today and she is back in pain? Wondering if anyone takes cbd for pain and are also taking blood thinners? It seems strange no pain when taking it now in pain once stopped?

Cbd & blood thinners
Hi Ssm2019 -
It's so encouraging that the CBD seems to help with the pain. I've read about CBD numerous times on the board...perhaps if you enter it in the search bar, upper right, you'll find some of those posts while you wait for a direct response?
I would also check with your mum's doc re: interactions with blood thinners, if you haven't already. That sounds potentially worrisome and there are other ways to manage the pain that might possibly be better options (although, don't get me wrong, I'm all in favor of trying the CBD first...).
Good luck with it, and my best to you and your mum...
Lynn
Thanks for your reply I was going to speak stop her oncologist as she prescribed them and see if there was anyway we could add in the cbd? I gave her a ring for another reason last week and she never got back to me so looks like we will have to wait till her app end of month! We are down to she will try anything at the min so suppose they can’t say anything for us trying to help in anyway!
Thank you hope you are doing ok xx
The Sloan Kettering app show herb & vitamin interactions with drugs. Here is the link from them: mskcc.org/cancer-care/integ...
They show cannabis does interact with blood thinners. I would think CBD oil does too.
Best to ask the doctor.

What is the difference between Cbd and cbd oil? I have read that cbd has helped a lot of people. I believe Olivia Newton John moved to the US because it is legal in some, if not most states. Alas, where I live it is illegal so even if I wanted to try it, I can’t. I’m glad it helps your mom.
I started taking CBD oil again as I did progress some.
It depends on the blood thinner; I am taking the blood thinner Pradaxa which does not metabolize through Cytochrome P450 enzyme, which CBD does. My problem is more the efficiency of Letrozole in combination with CBD. I take Letrozole with breakfast and CBD after lunch, so a few hours apart. You could also get topical CBD cream as another option.
By the way, I consulted with Dr. Philip Blair, a well renowned physician and expert on CBD.
Give your mom my love and best wishes!
Hi, oh this is great news when I have researched I noticed it referred to warfarin a lot! Oh is this something that can interfere with letrozole? My mum has just started Fulvestrant as letrozole failed! Wondering if this will Interfere with that? Iv heard the topical creams don’t enter the blood stream so maybe this is another option? I was hoping the cbd would do something to the tumors as well as help the pain? She took fenbendazole the past 3 days also but had the runs (not sure off what one) we are desperate as she is loosing the fight and giving up with so much pain when she is pain free she is a lot more at peace!
Thank you for your reply hope you are doing ok? X
I so feel for your mom! I have heard that the topical is also good in relieving pain and you're right that it doesn't enter the bloodstream.
Here's the study on Fulvestrant.
