I am taking Ibrance, calcium, Falsodex, and Xgeva. My face, head and back itches so bad that I have a hard time sleeping! Anyone experiencing this symptom. Also my eyes constantly tear. Would love to find something that helps this stuff! Kathy

I started tearing but it comes and goes. I think it must be the faslodex. I am on Ibrance and faslodex. Sometimes my skin gets so dry. My feet look like Shrek’s The thing that works the best for me is a lanolin salve. It lasts more than a day and works incredibly well. I bought some while in Ireland. The small mother daughter company is called Lanolia. It is expensive to ship to US, but they gave me a discount code if you’re interested. Full disclosure I have no connections to Lanolia. You may be able to find a substitute closer to home.
I’m taking Ibrance, letrozole and xgeva. I too have itching on my head and back. I use almond oil everywhere after a shower. Recently I’ve started taking a Benadryl at bedtime, so I can sleep. Hoping this helps.
I have the same and it does seem to be worse at night. A few things seem to help but not totally gone. Staying hydrated is key. I find these drugs to be very dehydrating. I found two creams that have helped. The first one is Utterly Cream and the second is Eucerin advanced repair. Both excellent emollients. And last resort is over the counter cortisone cream. The itching stops immediately but it does little to rehydrate. Hope that helps! Good luck.
Due to a schedule readjustment I’ve been off Ibrance for 5 weeks, and suddenly I’m sleeping 7 hours straight again! And, my skin and scalp is not so dry. Still on Faslodex and Xgeva the whole time so don’t think they are my prime suspects but who knows. My “time off” ends Thursday so I’ll see if all the tearing, sleep interruptions, joint soreness and itching return on schedule. Good luck to us all!
I thought I was getting an allergic reaction but now I realize it is the drugs seeing as so many having the itching. I have changed shampoos and slather on so much lotion but still itch. More so at night.
I have blepharitis, sometimes called dry eye, which makes my eyes feel scratchy and teary and can be a side effect of our meds. The glands which produce the fats that lubricate the eye block and so the tears don't work properly and the body's response is to produce more tears that don't do the job. I use an eye lubricant without preservatives. That's very important as the preservatives irritate the eyes further. I also have a heated eye mask to unblock the glands in the eyelids. That is very soothing.
For the itching I use a non perfumed heavy moisturiser like e45 cream twice a day. I think the massage of the cream helps more than the moisturiser. Haven't found anything for the scalp yet. It is worse when I haven't had enough to drink as well.
