Armpit itching

Been taking ibrance and letrozole for last 1 year and the scans were showing stable for last few scans and next scan is scheduled for May month. But before that last few weeks facing itching or i can say irritation in right armpit. This is where initial lumps were there and after chemotherapy lumps totally went away. Even now couldn’t see any lumps or can feel the lump while touching. Also couldn’t see any rash or redness but just feelng irritation under the armpit. Anyone faced this issue similar? Is this recurrence or medicine side effects?

Yes I have had irritation. I put it down to dried skin. My nails are very dry too and crumbly, but I've been on ibrance for 5 years.

I also was on Ibrance for 3+ years and incurred overall body itching. When my dosage was reduced to 100 mg the itching went away. Hope this helps.

I had similar issues, on my left breast where I had radiation therapy and implant surgery. I found that Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP, 0.1% works for me when that happens. Ask your Dr. for an RX.

Any time I have a new questionable sign of something going on, I run it by my oncologist...no matter how remote the symptom or sign is, I send her a message and at least have some peace that it's not cancer or medication related.

hi , I have been on Ibrance and Letrozole for 4 and a half years and am always itchy , especially my underarms and back , and feet , I take an antihistamine called Loratadine for hayfever and it seems to help a bit with the itching ,

But facing only right underarm irritation and more than itching its burning sensation. But no rashes or redness.

If you haven't already, I suggest letting your oncologist know. Itching, rather than bone pain, was my symptom that cancer had returned and that it had spread to my bones. Hopefully that's not the case for you, but if it is, it's good to catch it early.

Could be a yeast infection. My breast surgeon told me that if you use Gold Bond "Medicated" body powder under the armpit for a day or 2 and it goes away then it was yeast. I had same issue once in same area
