Hiya

I had to stop pablociclib 125mg after 2 weeks due to low white cells and anaemia

I had an iron infusion and restarted pablo at 100 mg

Obviously the iron infusion boosted red cells but there doesn’t appear to be a treatment to increase white cells..I think you just wait for bone marrow to recover and start making new cells

Sorry not much help

This is the second round of pablociclib..I’ve just had bloods taken last week and as nobody has contacted me to stop the meds I’m assuming wbc must be ok

I must say I feel perkier than last time but that could just have been the anaemia..taking iron supplements now

Best wishes

I'm in a similar boat, waiting to start my second cycle of ibrance. I've been wondering, seeing as no one mentions it here......after low counts from chemo I used to have a shot of neulasta to reboost white cells. Is there a reason they're not administering it for us with these drugs we're now taking?

Also Barb, I would not assume all is ok. Always good to check in with nurse first. They do make mistakes too. Like the nurse that told me I'd be dropping down to 75, when it turned out she was supposed to tell me 100!

Hello! I started taking Vitamin A and Astralagus to boost my immunity after my iBrance dosage was decreased to 100mg in June. Not sure if it's helping, but the lower dosage has helped my WBC to rise from 2,320 in June to 2,440 this month. I'll see how lab results look next month! Good luck and God bless! XO Linda

There isn’t anything that can improve them sadly. I had to wait three weeks between rounds of Ibrance for my neutrophils to reach 1.5. They drop to 0.3 by the time I am done the three weeks of Ibrance. My dr dropped me to 100mg Ibrance and now I’m on my second week of waiting. My neutrophils were 1.2 which is a great improvement over the 0.3 but still jot high enough plus my platelets dropped low this month. Sure wish there was something to eat or take that would keep the counts up.
