This is April 12, 2018. How is everyone? My tempt job ended now looking for work again. There are a few possibilities, I will find something. I have a pet scan this Friday at 4. I am praying that treatment is effective, this is about my 7th month with ibrance/femara/zedola.

Hi again everyone, thank you for all your well wishes and prayers! Will I went to the facility to find out, that I had to reschedule the test. There was an outage, they had to cancel all appointments for today so I rescheduled for April 25, at 1. I talked with two docs, today. I have a fracture of T8 spine, which is puzzling to me since I thought I was taking care. An MRI will be done Monday morning at 6 am, it will give information about the fracture. The pet scan on April 25 will show if the treatment is effective. Continued prayers, please. I will keep you posted.

Hi Susie!

Praying your scans go well! As for me...my scans will be repeated in May. Currently I’m vacationing with my husband in San Antonio. Quaint city. Stay well!

Hi Susie! Doing well. Happy Friday the 13th! It's also Scrabble Day! Did You Know…

…that if you played the word Oxyphenbutazone in your next game of Scrabble, you will make 1458 points as calculated by a Dan Stock of Ohio? Oxyphenbutazone is a medication used to treat arthritis and is the highest scoring single play word in Scrabble.

I have group therapy today, massage, and then housework. It's going to be int he 80's today and I am wearing shorts! I'll get my walk in today too. Take Care!

Hi, demanos! Someone needs to ask Dan how anyone can manage that word with just 7 letters to add on to an existing play? I'm befuddled! :) Enjoy your day--I envy you; it's cool and rainy in Seattle--would love that warm weather to finally kick in here! XO

Hi SeattleMom! I'm from the Seattle area. In fact, I still date a guy from there! Talk about along distance relationship, I'm in Virginia! Ha Ha! Here's an idea for Dan:

I know, the word has 15 letters in it. There must have been eight on the board already. Butazone, Pheynl-butazone, PBZ or 'bute' as it's often called (there are also trade names). It's use is very common in equine veterinary practice. Butazone is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.

Who was playing scrabble with this guy?? A bunch of veterinarians??

Now I get it! Someone probably started with BUT, then AZONE was added, and finally OXYPHEN! Enjoy your sunny day in Virgina! I bet your boyfriend wishes he was there!! :)

P.S. Your solution to the puzzle made my day!

I’m sorry to hear about your fracture. Are you in pain and how did you find out? Mine is in my spine and I worry about fractures. Did you know that you did it? Sorry so many questions but that’s something I worry about daily. I will pray for a good report and it heals quick! Thanks 🙏

I don't mind questions at all, we can learn from each other. Keep in mind, we all are different. What may apply to one person, may not apply to another. Last year, I had severe back pain. Found out it was a tumor pushing up against my spine, caused a fracture then. They removed the tumor, put two small rods in my back to strengthen it, put special cement there. It took a while to recover from that. Meanwhile, they see that I have breast cancer that traveled to the spine, that is what caused the fracture then. I have been on treatment, ibrance/femara/zedola for six months. I went back to work in February. I had some tempt jobs, couldn't do what I used to do since it requires heavy lifting. Last few months, my back was feeling sore. Doc suggested a ex ray to find out I have another fracture. The pet scan was rescheduled for April 25. I am praying that the fracture can easily be fixed and that the cause is not another tumor. I feel sore but am not in severe pain. The spine specialist suggested I have a MRI done on Monday, for more information. So I will know something next week. I suggest boning up on your calcium intake, if your doc thinks thats a good idea.

Wow, you have been through so much. How large was the tumor? Another question, I have so many every time I hurt in my spine I feel it’s a fracture. How long have you had mbc? I know we are all different and different outcomes. Yeah I take calcium gummy bears 😆. I will pray for you with your scan, I think maybe it’s just normal pain from your condition. Sending positive thoughts your way!💕

Good luck today, Susie! I have a pet scan scheduled for April 30 for first time since initial pet scan in November. Keep me posted on your results. I am six months in and on similar protocol (Ibrance/Letrozole/Xgeva). Prayers for you!! XXOO

I was told because Pet scans are so expensive they only do them for intinal diagnosis? Now I just get cat scans, which did pick up. 5mm lung node. However never shows spine lesions just say bones show plate hypertrophy. Appears disc disease. I wish I could get another pet scan. But knowing me I would just worry more...
