Gabapentin for pain

After 4 weeks of terrible hip and back pain, newest mri shows labral tears in both hips. Gabapentin has been ordered, currently taking Ibrance, letrozole and xgeva. Has anybody tried this for pain management? I don’t like the looks of the side effects.

I have been taking Gabapentin 2x a day since the 18 month mark on Ibrance and femara when the joint discomfort hit an all time high. This seems to be the only thing that works really? I don’t have any negative side effects from it. Not even tired. I wish you the best and hope it works as well for you too.

I still take it but my doc did eventually take me off the femara and put me on Aromasin instead to reduce the side effects of the femara

I've been on it for 18 months with no pain or any other side effects. Good luck.

Hello Boogitymom,

I take Gabapentin 300mg, 3 times a day along with a muscle relaxer 3x. It has been a life saver! I had tumor in my hip that caused constant pain and cramping that ran all the way down my leg. Nerve problems also made it difficult for me to walk. Nothing had helped until I was prescribed this combination. I haven't had any side effects.

Let me know how it works for you.

With love
